Copy Cat Scene - Twilight Background Research
Copy cat scene
The acting students and the film and tv students have been put together into groups to make a copy cat scene together. Me, Latoya and Jason have been paired with Casey and Sophie from the Film and Tv course. We’ve decided to do a scene from Twilight. Twilight is a film about a late teen who moved back to forks America to live with her father. Her stay takes a wonderful turn when she meets the mysterious Edward Cullen who’s also just moved back to town. They both fall head over heels for each other and when Bella finds out Edwards secret about being a bloodsucking vampire, she loves him even more. One reason we picked twilight because it was set in a school so we’d be able to accurately Reenact the scene. Another reason is because all the characters in twilight hold a lot of depth which makes it very interesting for the actors. It’s also great for the filmmakers because it has such recognisable lighting and camera angles. We’re filming it in the science lab because that’s where the scene is set in the movie. We picked this scene because it has a lot of different camera angles that are fun to do and also because it’s a scene that shows a lot of emotion and is quite excitingly challenging for everyone involved. I’m playing Bella Swan who is played by Kristen Stewart in the movie. Kristen was seventeen years old when she got the life-changing lead. She was recognised by the casting team from her movie ‘Into The Wild’. Her character was young and awkward which is a lot like Bella. She was set to star in Twilight with Robert Pattison who is an English actor from London. He played Edward Cullen who is a self loathing vampire who falls completely in love with Bella. He was 22 when production started making him 5 years older than his young co-star.
