Blood brothers Review

Blood Brothers Review

On Thursday me and my classmates went to watch one of the most popular British musicals of all time, Blood BrothersWe watched the show to understand the story before we preformed it in a few months. I think the whole show was entertaining, heartfelt and captivating. We were taken on the journey of the brothers lives from the very beginning till the very end, shown all of the good and all of the bad. The story shows how even though the boys both came from the same two people, they were raised in contrasting worlds and even though they were as close as they get, they lead completely different lives. You could feel the emotion pouring off the stage with every song trapping you in the story. The actors for Mickey (Sean Jones) and Eddie (Joel Benedict)  did an impeccable job of showing life on two completely different scales, one through poverty and one through privilege. You can see their range in acting as they age,  grow and change  on the stage right in front of you, becoming completely different characters in just 2 hours. The actress Niki Evans who plays Mrs Johnstone shows unbelievable emotion and guides you through the story with her flawless songs, as-well as the narrator Robbie Scotcher who put passion into every word he said. Linda (Carly Burns) also grew up and completely changed from the beginning to the end, she had great chemistry with both Eddie and Mickey. At the end of the play the cast received a standing ovation from the audience who were in tears! Excellent play!
