Script writing lessons

 recently on a thursday weve been working on writing. we alway start our lessons with six word stories. for an example, All dressed up, nowhere to go or blowing out the candles, im alone or from strangers to friends to lovers. it gets your creativity floing ready for the lesson. im in a group with Henry, Geoffrey and Trinity and we have to come up with a sitcom. we started by saying what we wanted it to be about. we chose the storyline for it to be about stressing to get somewhere on time and after a big hassle it turns out its the wrong day. so i thought we could have it where its a prom and it everything goes wrong. we decided our character are all 16 and going to secondary school prom. we wanted to make three girl bestfriends who were all really different to keep it interesting.

the names are;

Spencer

Emma James

Daphne King

then once we had our characters we actualy had to work as a team and decide what they would actualy be doing to create an interesting sitcom, so we all stayed back for hours and we all contributed into getting it finished. heres our presentation/ pitch.

Today was the day we did our presentation. Me and the others had stayed back extra after it got pushed back a week and it was really helpful and a good job because we had to redo most of it after half of it was lost. We started by practicing who was saying what and quickly went over it so we knew what we were talking about. Then we listened to everyone else’s presentation, they were all very good ideas and I think there will be a lot of good scripts coming out of this. We all had very different ideas which is good and keeps it fresh and exiting. I think our presentation went really well. We’d made sure to put in all the information necessary and we designed it to make it interesting and pretty. We had our sheets of paper with points on so we weren’t constantly looking at the board and could connect with the audience more. I feel like I presented it confidently. We kept it upbeat and only included important information so it didn’t get boring and make the story seem unnecessary. (Production process of this is on a separate blog.)
