It’s all about the production and design - blood brothers

I’ve also got more pictures that I took for this on a separate post called blood brothers pictures because for some reason a lot of pictures would just disappear from here and others so I made that where they’re all together :)

 For blood brothers I’m going to be in the marketing team. I feel like this is the best option for me because there’s so much you can do with it, I like the idea of being able to market our own show and build up an audience, we could do it with nobody there but we want to show them how hard we’ve worked because we’re proud of ourselves and each other. I feel like marketing these shows are difficult because once they see it’s a college show they immediately think it will be unprofessional. That’s why me and the rest of the team are working hard to show how serious and passionate we our about our productions. Me and the rest of the team have decided to take turns posting different things to engage an audience. I have made three different photo collages to show a little bit of what’s to come at the show. I think this will really engage the audience. Our team has been making calls to different primary schools to invite them in. Then We’ve also been making TikTok’s to show rehearsal days and what goes on behind the scenes. We also posted a picture of the whole cast and pictures of rehearsals. And we also have lots of hashtags that we put in ever post to reach out to more people.

Other things we want to include are:

Meet the cast videos

Set tours

Countdowns

Tickets sales

We do all of these to reach out to the audience and so they see the show and if it’s fun they’ll want to come and watch the show. We want to create buzz and excitement around the show and get people to be interested in what we have to offer.

We’re going to do the count down to encourage people to buy tickets and to create some excitement around the show :)

I’ve done my shows now and it’s cast 2’s turn. I’m spending the day capturing pictures of the rehearsing and preparing photos for the social media posts. I’ve got literally hundreds of pictures because people also like to pic pictures of themselves in character and post them on their own social media pages where they can advertise the show to a different audience.

Over the past few days, whilst shows have been going on I’ve sent Kelly some pictures and captions to post on Instagram. We’re not allowed to post on the account we have to send it to Kelly so she can post it. An example caption is, “Cast 2 is taking the stage with their wonderful performance of blood brothers tonight  at 7pm!!

Here’s some pictures from their final rehearsal!!😁”

I created something that would let people know a little bit about us actors and  what we love about the show. I thought if we do this it might make people a bit more interested about the show. I think knowing that other people love a certain show for all different reasons it might make them a bit more open minded if they had doubts about coming to see the show before. I’ve sent them to Kelly so she can post them onto the Instagram page.

Not everybody got back to me in time but I’ve got the most people I could. I found it really fun to get a lot of the cast involved and I thought it made this post extra special. It’s nice to hear what everyone has to say. Here’s what I created;

I have enjoyed being on the marketing team. I think we’ve came up with and created some great things to share. Morgan and Henry made posters which looked really good. However I think we lacked communication. When everybody was in on different days and had shows on certain days we didn’t really communicate that well and we ended up missing out a few posts. We need to make sure that we’re creating a schedule before things get stressful so everybody know what they’re doing at all times. I took lots of pictures that could be shared during the final rehearsals for people to share. We had quite full audiences every night so hopeful people were influenced by our marketing tactics.
