The last resort- evaluation
Me, latoya, Milly and Adam decided to play the small comedic roll of the seagulls in the last resort. They were the perfect people to act alongside in our final show because from the very first day me and latoya met them we became a small, sweet and supportive friend group. We all had hard roles in little women so we picked these roles to make our final show a fun breather where we can let go and enjoy ourselves like it’s supposed to be!! Because we’re only in one talking scene we put all our effort into that part! We wanted to make our small part memorable by adding as much character to it as we could! I was a classy French seagull, Milly was a manly seagull, Latoya was a chavy seagull and Adam was an old confused seagull!! We wanted to imitate the types of people you find on the beach, bird edition. We didn’t wear actual seagull costumes because we knew the body language we’d been working on would tell the audience what we were. We all decided to wear white to match the and be seagull colour, however we wanted everyone’s to match their personality. Kelly ordered some socks with seagull legs on which makes it so fun. I will post a picture of the costumes above. The scene closes by us saying yeah to each other but in Adam’s yeah he coughs, then we made my character hold his wing and have an intimate moment before Latoyas character ruins it. Then we one by one realise the fish is still there and we all jump for it before we see that Latoya has stolen it and flew away so we all chant “my ,mY, MY!!”. I just though our part is so random and irrelevant to the story so it’s just a bit of fun! We had so much fun on stage and got lots of laughs from the audience! I’m very proud of my class for working hard on this play and I’m especially proud of Geoffrey and Elliot for directing this whole show by themselves!! I had such a good time with this part, it was the perfect positive way to end the year!!
